Simple Simcoe Citra DIPA

Say that five times fast.

Pours an opaque burnt orange with a fluffy off white head that clings to the glass.

Up front you get a bright burst of ripe citrus with orange, grapefruit and a touch of mango. Simcoe adds steady pine, light resin and a bit of stone fruit. The aroma stays juicy while striking a nice middle ground between the east and west coast IPA characters.

The palate follows with layered citrus, soft tropical notes and a firm pine edge that keeps everything in check. The malt holds back and gives just enough support to carry the 7.4% ABV without feeling heavy.

The finish is creamy with lingering citrus and light resin. Easy drinking for the strength with a smooth hop glow that stays soft instead of sharp.
